In case you missed it, DeCarlos Brown has been found to be "incapable of proceeding" with his trial, delaying justice for the brutal murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska.
As governor, Roy Cooper cut a deal to release over 3,500 prisoners early, including DeCarlos Brown, a career criminal with 14 prior arrests who was repeatedly let back onto the streets. Cooper's early releases included convicted murderers, child rapists, and 51 inmates serving life sentences for violent crimes - with a recidivism rate of over 50%.
During his State of the Union address, President Trump spoke directly to Iryna's mother, Anna Zarutska, and promised justice for her daughter. Democrats refused to stand in solidarity.
