Elevating the teaching profession in Haiti

P4H Global, a Haitian non-profit organization, is committed to improving the quality of teaching and learning in Haiti through innovative pedagogical methods. The organization stands out as a powerful force for positive change both for the nation's educational landscape, and for educators and students worldwide.

P4H Global's initiative "Training Teachers to Transform Haiti" broadens the scope of teacher training to include directors, parents, and the community, using a comprehensive cycle of diagnosis, training, coaching, and observation with a focus on student-centred strategies. The 3-year intensive programme has positively impacted 8,000 educators and 350,000 students in all ten departments in Haiti, with a particular emphasis on underserved rural areas.

In this interview, Dr Bertrhude Albert, CEO and co-founder of P4H Global, tells us more about this inspiring journey, the transformative impact of P4H Global on education in Haiti, and the significance of receiving the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development.
