Sisak Gabrielyan meets with Chair of on Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee of Parliament of Georgia
On September 23, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan met with the Chair of on Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee of Parliament of Georgia Mariam Lashkhi.
Welcoming the guest and congratulating her on being elected Chair of the Committee, Sisak Gabrielyan expressed conviction that the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries will be continuous.
The Chair of on Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee of Parliament of Georgia thanked her colleague for warm reception, noting that they always had felt warmth of a friendly country. She congratulated Sisak Gabrielyan on Independence Day of Armenia, wishing successes.
"We have very powerful bases for cooperation," Mariam Lashkhi said and expressed conviction that all planned initiatives and programs will be jointly implemented.
Sisak Gabrielyan spoke about initialing of the Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Inter-State Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the U.S. on August 8, 2025. He highly appreciated the role of Georgia in the process of establishing peace in the region and thanked her for supporting Armenia.
Sisak Gabrielyan presented the reforms being implemented in the education system of Armenia, spoke about the process of teacher training, certification, and increasing their salaries.
Reference was made to the educational and cultural events that are being held and will be held jointly, as well as official mutual visits. It was noted that active and successful cooperation and jointly held events greatly promote the deepening of friendship, inter-cultural cooperation, and the exchange of regional experience. The importance of organizing youth conferences between Armenia and Georgia was emphasized in terms of developing youth dialogue and implementing new joint initiatives.
