Media Alert: Correctional Services Committee to Be Briefed by Department on Overcrowding Strategies

Parliament, Thursday, 24 July 2025 - The Portfolio Committee on Correctional Services will tomorrow receive a briefing from the Department of Correctional Services on the use of Section 49G of the Correctional Services Act and Section 62F of the Criminal Procedures Act applications including statistics over a three year period.
