Victim identified from homicide investigation in the 300 Block of Wooten Road
On September 25, 2025, at approximately 11:58 PM, Colorado Springs Police Officers located a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Wooten Road. Officers initially reported that the driver appeared to be slumped over in the vehicle. When officers approached, they discovered the driver, an adult male, was deceased.
On September 29, 2025, the El Paso County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy on the deceased male and identified him as 36-year-old Emanuel Montoya. While the coroner's office will determine the cause and manner of death, this is being investigated as a homicide. A photo of Mr. Montoya has been provided by his family.
