TEMPE, Ariz. - In observance of Independence Day, City of Tempe administrative offices and most services will be closed Friday, July 3. Because Independence Day falls on Saturday, July 4, some City facilities that are regularly open on Saturdays will be closed or operate on modified holiday schedules. See below for specific hours and closures.
CELEBRATE AMERICA'S 250TH BIRTHDAY AT TEMPE 4TH
Celebrate Independence Day and America 250 at the Tempe Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Tempe Diablo Stadium, 2200 W. Alameda Drive. Bring family and friends for an evening of patriotic fun, community spirit and fireworks lighting up the night sky. EMERGENCY SERVICES
Police and Fire services will be unaffected by the holiday.
TEMPE 311
Tempe 311, the City's Customer Relations Center, is typically open seven days a week but will be closed July 3 and 4. To fill out a service request form, visit tempe.gov/311.
TEMPE CUSTOMER SERVICES
Tempe Customer Services will be closed on Friday, July 3, and is regularly closed on weekends. For more information and to pay your bill online, visit tempe.gov/CustomerService.
TEMPE MUNICIPAL COURT
The court will be closed on Friday, July 3. To make a payment or view case information, visit tempe.gov/court. Phone payments can be made by calling 480-350-8800 or 1-877-729-2687. This Automated Payment System is unavailable nightly from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
TRANSPORTATION
Bus and rail services will operate according to Sunday schedules on Friday, July 3. On Saturday, July 4, buses will operate on enhanced Saturday schedules, with all Orbit buses running until midnight. Orbit Earth, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus buses will arrive every 15 minutes, while Saturn buses will arrive every 30 minutes. Visit tempe.gov/tim.
TRASH AND RECYCLING
Commercial and residential trash services will not be affected. The Household Products Collection Center, 1320 E. University Drive, will be closed July 3 and 4 (480-858-2223).
