CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - In conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week, the Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) will receive smoke detectors donated by State Farm Insurance.

In 2024, National Fire Prevention Week will be observed from Sunday, October 6, to Saturday, October 12.

Smoke alarms play a crucial role in fire safety by detecting small particles in the air. When these particles reach a specific level, the alarm is triggered, allowing you and your family to evacuate safely and contact emergency services. Smoke alarms are essential for saving lives.

Smoke alarms will be available to Corpus Christi homeowners who live in the home for which they are requesting an alarm while supplies last. (Residents renting a house or living in an apartment should request theirs through the property's management company.)

Reasonable accommodations are provided upon request and in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. For assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation, please call 361-826-1655 in advance.
