The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with JAS Global Advisors LLC (JAS) to provide Quality Control services for the New Generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) Program: 2026 Round. The Quality Control objective is to ensure that 2026 Round evaluations are consistently and impartially conducted and adhere to the processes and criteria in the Applicant Guidebook (AGB). JAS will conduct procedural inspections of all evaluation types under the String, Applicant, and Application Evaluation stages as well as the Community Priority Evaluation (CPE); ensure consistent application of the AGB criteria across evaluators; and recommend process improvements to ICANN that will be considered for implementation by relevant panels and evaluators.
ICANN selected JAS through a competitive Request for Proposal process initiated in January 2026. The Quality Control provider was selected in accordance with ICANN's procurement best practices, which ensure that services are sourced with the correct specifications at the appropriate level of quality and value.
