RICS responds to the Government’s plans for a Single Construction Regulator

RICS welcomes the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)'s prospectus setting out its proposals for the design of its single construction regulator - a recommendation following the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.

RICS is committed to building and maintaining trust and confidence in the surveying profession for the public advantage. Within RICS, our regulatory functions are independently overseen by the Standards and Regulation Board (SRB). The SRB is responsible for overseeing our existing regulatory framework including setting professional standards, assuring entry to the profession and the ongoing competence of our professionals and taking enforcement action where members and firms fail to meet our standards.
