FMGE October 2026 Registration Begins: Last Date; Important Instructions

FMGE October 2026 Registration: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has started the online application for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) October 2026 session today, September 11, 2026, from 5:00 PM onwards . Eligible foreign medical graduates who want to apply for a licence to practise medicine in India can now fill out their applications online through the official websites - nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in . The October 2026 session is a special one-time additional attempt which has been introduced by the NBEMS to enable the candidates to qualify the screening test earlier. The application window for submissions online will stay open until September 25, 2026 (at 11:55 PM).

FMGE October 2026 Examination Schedule & Details

As per the information bulletin issued by the NBEMS, the following are the important dates that the candidates have to keep in mind while preparing for the October 2026 exam:

Key Instructions for Candidates Before Registration

Single Application Form: Candidates should note that only one application form will be accepted for the FMGE October 2026 examination cycle. In case of more than one application form, NBEMS may use the higher-order Application ID to generate the admit card and may forfeit the payment of duplicate applications.

NMC Eligibility Certificate: If candidates need the Eligibility Certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC), they should make sure to have that or apply separately for it. The NMC eligibility application is a separate process and not included in the FMGE exam application form.

Upload Documents: A scanned copy of the recent photograph of the applicant, applicant's signature, Primary Medical Qualification (MBBS/Equivalent Degree Certificate), and Photo ID Proof of the applicant should be uploaded in accordance with the format mentioned in the Information Bulletin.

Fee Payment: Online payment of ₹6,195 is required through UPI, Net Banking, and Indian bank-issued Debit/Credit Cards. Make sure to have a reliable internet connection during the transaction.
