Cigna Healthcare, International Health, Global Health Benefits announces exclusive agreement with UnitedHealthcare Global

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., September 29, 2026 - Cigna Global Health Benefits (GHB) business today announced an agreement with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Global that advances its international health growth strategy and expands access to GHB's global health capabilities for globally mobile populations.

Under the agreement, UHC Global will exclusively endorse GHB as its preferred international health insurer for UHC Global clients, following UHC's decision to withdraw from the international private medical insurance business across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

GHB, part of Cigna Healthcare's International Health division, offers international health solutions for organizations with globally mobile employees and their families, Through the agreement, UHC Global clients will gain access to GHB's deep global health expertise, personalized guidance and support, and compliant, locally relevant care worldwide.

For existing GHB clients and customers, nothing changes as a result of this agreement. Current coverage, provider access, account support, and service arrangements remain unchanged.

The agreement does not include UHC Global products, provider networks, service platforms or other operating assets. Financial terms were not disclosed.
