Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Nigerian Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Unche Nnaji

On September 9, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai met with H.E. Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology of Nigeria.

Ambassador Yu stated that since President Tinubu's state visit to China one year ago, the China-Nigeria comprehensive strategic partnership has developed rapidly and comprehensively, with practical cooperation in various fields continuously deepening. China has always attached great importance to cooperation with Nigeria in the field of scientific and technological innovation. Under the guidance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, China is willing to share its experience in technological development with Nigeria, and strengthen cooperation in areas such as research project development, commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and talent cultivation, so as to contribute to the economic and social development of both countries and bring tangible benefits to their peoples through high-quality science and technology cooperation, pushing bilateral relations to a new level.

Minister Nnaji praised the great achievements of China's economic and social development, stating that innovation and scientific and technological progress play a vital role in national development and the improvement of people's livelihood. Nigeria is willing to deepen practical cooperation with China in various fields such as aerospace, biomedicine, and new energy technologies, and to deepen bilateral scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
