After nearly two years of extensive renovations, Meadowbrook Golf Course will reopen to the public Friday, Oct. 3.
The celebration kicks off with a public reopening ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the course. Guests will enjoy remarks from community leaders, refreshments and a first look at the redesigned layout.
Golfers eager to test the new course can sign up for a special Preview Tournament on Thursday, Oct. 2. The four-person scramble begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Entry is $120 per player, with groups accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, contact Meadowbrook head golf professional Raymond Briggs.
Originally opened in 1924, Meadowbrook Golf Course closed for renovations in December 2023. The project rerouted nearly every hole and upgraded all greens from the original push-up style to hybrid Bermuda, aligning Meadowbrook's playing surfaces with those at Rockwood Park and Pecan Valley golf courses.
"The reopening of Meadowbrook marks a major milestone for Fort Worth Golf," said Kyle McClure, assistant director of golf and athletics for the City of Fort Worth's Park & Recreation Department. "These improvements will provide golfers with a modern course experience while honoring Meadowbrook's historic legacy."
