BELITUNG -- During the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk once again distributed basic food assistance packages to communities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the Riau Islands Province, and Riau Province.
These food packages are expected to help meet the nutritional needs of residents in need during Ramadan. Previously, PT TIMAH had distributed similar assistance in Bangka Regency.
This time, PT TIMAH's Belitung Area collaborated with the Belitung Regency Government to distribute food packages to communities in Belitung Regency.
The packages were handed over by Feriandi, Division Head of PT TIMAH's Belitung Area, to Belitung Regent Djoni Alamsyah, who will then distribute them to residents during the Ramadan Safari events organized by the Belitung Regency Government in Pulau Gual Village, Selat Nasik District; Batu Itam Village, Sijuk District; and during the Ramadan Safari at the Official Residence of the Vice Regent of Belitung.
The synergy between PT TIMAH and the Belitung Regency Government represents a joint effort to improve community welfare and reflects the company's commitment to supporting social and religious programs organized by the local government.
The food assistance is prioritized for low-income families, the elderly, and orphans.
Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, stated that the food package assistance is a routine program carried out by the company to help strengthen community food security.
"We hope these food packages can help residents, especially in meeting their food needs during the holy month of Ramadan. This program is implemented across all of the company's operational areas," she said.
In addition to distributing food packages, PT TIMAH's Belitung Area also provided assistance to mosques as a form of support for worship activities and religious programs throughout Ramadan on Belitung Island.
