Gilbert, Ariz. - Gilbert is diving into the new year with a brand-new event that supports a meaningful cause. On January 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM, Gilbert will host a Polar Plunge at Williams Field Pool, inviting residents to take the leap while supporting water safety in the community.
With so many families in Gilbert and across Arizona enjoying backyard pools, water safety continues to be a priority. Proceeds from the Polar Plunge will support Gilbert's Aquatics Scholarship Fund, which helps remove financial barriers for families seeking swim lessons. The long-term goal is simple: ensure every child in Gilbert learns how to swim.
Participants will jump into the unheated pool, take on the challenge, and earn a free event sticker and t-shirt along the way. After the plunge, everyone can warm up with pancakes, hot chocolate, and activities.
All participants, including parents and guardians, must be registered to join the event. Only registered participants will be allowed access. Children aged 4-7 must be accompanied in the water by a registered parent or guardian. Register now
