Indigenizing Education graduation celebration, May 1

An Indigenizing Education graduation celebration will be held on May 1. This gathering honors the leadership, knowledge and community relationships that make this program possible. Led by Dr. Panigkaq Agatha John-Shields, in partnership with Dr. Angie Lunda, the Indigenizing Education graduate program strengthens the capacity of educators, Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders, and other professionals to build culturally sustaining education systems rooted in place, relationships, and respect.

This celebration will recognize the first six candidates who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Indigenizing Education. Their achievements reflect the support of families, Elders, mentors, and community partners who walk alongside them in this work.
