The Consumer Protection Directorate pursued its inspections patrols in the markets

The Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Trade pursued its inspections patrols in the markets and drew up seizure reports against the electricity generators' owners for non-complying with the official pricing for each kilowatt issued by the Ministry of Energy and Water; with the assistance of the Municipal Police in some of Mount-Lebanon villages.
In this regard, the Ministry assures that it will continue to control violations in order to refer all offenders before competent courts.
To this end, the Ministry will undertake extended inspections patrols in all the Lebanese regions, in coordination with the General Directorate of the General Security, the General Directorate of State Security and municipalities; and will mainly tackle the offenders reported to the Ministry
