Upcoming Closure on Jefferson Ave for Concept 5 Paving

November 8, 2024 - Motorists are advised that Jefferson Avenue will close briefly to through traffic at Wanetah Drive November 13 - 16 for work related to the Concept 5 Sewer Improvement Plan.

The closure will occur sometime Wednesday, November 13 through Saturday, November 16 for final paving activities, weather permitting. While the exact date and time of the closure has not been determined at this time, Jefferson will be closed for just a few hours while work is underway and will reopen the same day. Through traffic on Jefferson should utilize Wheeler Street, Swede Avenue, and W. Wackerly Street to detour around the closure. When complete, the Sylvan Lane pipe upsizing project will provide improvements to the sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water distribution systems and street network for this area within the Sylvan pumping district area, including the upsizing of both storm and sanitary sewer pipes.
