REMINDER: FY2025 Bridge Overlays Project Start

The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of the FY2025 Bridge Overlays Project. The contractor plans to begin construction on or about May 19, 2025, weather permitting. All work is anticipated to be completed by mid-September 2025.
The FY2025 Bridge Overlays Project includes overlaying of the bridge deck and substructure repairs on the Floyd Boulevard Bridge over 3rd Street and Railroad and the 4th Street Bridge over Railroad. Starting on May 19, 2025, weather permitting, both bridges will be closed to all traffic for a period of 100 calendar days to complete the overlay work of the two bridges. The bridges will then be reopened to traffic with substructure repairs continuing through mid-September. A detour route utilizing Dace Avenue, S. Lewis Boulevard / Business 75, and 6th Street will be posted.
The FY2025 Bridge Overlays Project was awarded to Cramer & Associates, Inc. of Grimes, Iowa on April 21, 2025, in the amount of $2,273,880.00. This project is funded with local funds.
