A 160-property Solar PV and roof renewal programme, harnessing clean energy while ensuring homes are weather-resilient and future-proof.
-
Extensive Optimised Retrofit Programme-funded energy efficiency upgrades supporting the most vulnerable residents.
-
Development of a Gwent-wide 2050 Net Zero Strategy and Action Plan, co-produced with partners from across the council, NHS, NRW, emergency services, education, waste and transport, delivering a united vision for a low-carbon, climate-resilient future.

Installation of environmental sensors in around 10% of the Council's housing stock, giving real-time insights into how homes perform to help shape smarter, more targeted investment, embedding energy efficiency at the heart of future maintenance, repairs, and renewal programmes.
-
Numerous whole-house retrofit projects, drastically improving energy performance, reducing household running costs, and creating warmer, healthier homes for residents.
One of the projects delivered by Caerphilly Homes, in partnership with contractor Joyner Group, which transformed homes and cut residents' energy bills at 50 privately owned and 36 Council owned properties in Bryn Carno, Rhymney was also shortlisted for Regional Large-Scale Project of the Year at the awards.
Cllr Shayne Cook, Caerphilly Council's Cabinet Member for Housing, said "This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates how we are delivering on our commitment to make homes, in both public and private sectors, more energy efficient, affordable and comfortable.
