Invitation to Apply to Become a Member of the Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee

The Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas is accepting applications for two actively practicing members of the bankruptcy bar to serve on the Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee for three-year terms ending June 30, 2029. To be considered for appointment for a term beginning in 2026, please submit your application by July 28, 2026. The Court will also consider applications filed during the previous 3 years when selecting committee members.

The Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee serves as a liaison between the court and its bar and the public; provides a forum for the continuous study of the operating procedures of the court; studies, considers and recommends the adoption, amendment, or rescission of the Rules of Practice of the court; and studies and renders reports and recommendations as the court directs.
