Kansas City area maintenance work for Aug. 31 - Sept. 4

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from August 31 until September 4. All work is weather permitting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route EE between SE 501 Rd. and Missouri Route 23: road closed on Monday, Aug. 31 and Tuesday, Sept. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement overlay work.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Route AA between Summer Rd. and Van Meter Rd.: road closed on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route F between Route 65 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route MM between U.S. Route 50 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route T between Route 50 and Route D: flagging operations on Thursday, Sept. 3, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

RAY COUNTY

Route D at Raum St. in Lawson: flagging operations on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for ditch work.

Route A at various locations: flagging operations on Wednesday, Sept. 2 and Thursday, Sept. 3, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.

SALINE COUNTY

Route P between Route D and Route AC: flagging operations on Monday, Aug. 31, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route Z between Missouri Route 20 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Monday, Aug. 31, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Interstate 70 NE Outer Rd. between U.S. Route 65 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route UU between Route 65 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
