NIGHTTIME CONSTRUCTION ON US HIGHWAY 17 TO BEGIN JUNE 16

The City of Charleston has approved nighttime construction as part of ongoing South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) resurfacing projects along US Highway 17 - including both Septima Clark Parkway and Savannah Highway.

Schedule & Scope:

• Dates: June 16 through July 3
• Hours: 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. nightly
• Work Includes: Installation of decorative stamped crosswalks at designated intersections to improve pedestrian visibility, safety, and corridor aesthetics.

Traffic Impacts:

• Temporary lane closures and traffic shifts will occur during work hours.
• At least one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times.
• Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow posted signage.

This work is weather-dependent and may be delayed in the event of inclement conditions.
