Volunteers sought Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Community Health Fair Feb. 28

Have fun and give back by volunteering for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Community Health Fair on Saturday, February 28 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Designed to benefit the community, the 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 am at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center and takes place along the beautiful Oso Creek Trail.

Energetic volunteers are sought to help direct the 5K route, kids' run and more. This event is a great way to give back and earn community service credits. Register to volunteer by February 20.

Along with volunteers, community members are invited to take part in the event. Pre-registration is $30 for adults and $10 for age 12 and under. Pre-register by 7 pm on February 20 and one hundred percent of your pre-registration fee will go directly to the local nonprofit of your choice. After that, the cost to participate increases by $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Online registration ends at 8 pm on February 25, however folks can still sign up in person on the day of the event.

The event also boasts a free Community Health Fair featuring health and wellness organizations offering giveaways, health screenings and informational handouts.
