Chinese Ambassador to Dominica Chu Maoming Attends the Launch of the Ninth Phase of the China Aid Dominica Agricultural Technical Cooperation Project & the Hand-over Ceremony[...]

On July 18, H.E. Chu Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Dominica  visited the Dominica-China Modern Agricultural Center to attend the launch of the ninth Phase of the China Aid Dominica Agricultural Technical Cooperation Project and the Hand-over Ceremony of Agricultural Materials and Machinery. He was joined by Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, Dominican Prime Minister and Mrs. Skerrit, Hon. Roland Royer, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy, and other senior officials. Mr. Sun Xinhua, the Embassy's head of Economic and Commercial Affairs, accompanied the Ambassador.

Ambassador Chu remarked that over the past two decades, China and Dominica have worked hand in hand to promote advanced agricultural technologies, enhance food security, and strengthen development resilience. Looking ahead, China is ready to work closely with Dominica to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries and the outcomes of the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, so as to ensure that bilateral cooperation in agriculture and other fields continues to deliver tangible benefits to the people.

Prime Minister Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit welcomed the Chinese experts and praised the bilateral agricultural cooperation for advancing Dominica's agricultural modernization and sustainable development. He reaffirmed Dominican Government's steadfast adherence to the one-China principle and expressed appreciation for China's consistent commitments and generous assistance. He also conveyed his desire to deepen cooperation and strengthen the longstanding friendship with China.

Ambassador Chu and Minister Royer jointly signed the handover certificate for the agricultural materials and machinery.
