ASIC Annual Forum to focus on the challenges of a rapidly evolving economy as it returns to Melbourne in November

ASIC has released the core program for its Annual Forum 2025 to be held on 12-13 November 2025 in Melbourne.

This year's Forum and dinner will centre on the theme 'Australia in a dynamic world.' and will bring together thought leaders, policymakers, industry representatives and consumer voices to discuss the most pressing issues facing Australia's financial system.

Key presentations and panels will include:

• a keynote address from Mike Burgess AM, Director-General of Security, ASIO
• a wide-ranging discussion on the state of the economy, with ASIC Chair Joe Longo, ABS statistician Dr David Gruen AO, Future Fund CEO Dr Raphael Arndt and CEO and MD of Coles Group, Leah Weckert
• a keynote dinner address by Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO, Chair of the United States Studies Centre
• a Day 2 recorded address from Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD
• a panel on consumer trust in dynamic times, featuring ASIC Commissioner Alan Kirkland, Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine, Suncorp Group CEO and Managing Director Steve Johnston and CPRC CEO Erin Turner
• a session on structural transformation in our financial services sector, with ASIC Commissioner Kate O'Rourke, Westpac Group CEO Anthony Miller, Vice President and Managing Director of Google Australia and New Zealand Melanie Silva and Stripe Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Karl Durrance
• an address on ASIC's enforcement priorities for 2026, delivered by Deputy Chair Sarah Court, followed by a conversation on enforcement challenges from a global regulatory perspective with Therese Chambers from the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
