“Police Officer of the Year” Named



NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (January 8, 2025) - The New Brunswick City Police Department has named Officer Jason Lyons the 2024 Police Officer of the Year.

Lyons, a nine-year veteran of the force, currently serves on the department's Safe Neighborhood Area Patrol (S.N.A.P.) Unit. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to his community, fostering strong relationships with residents and contributing significantly to the successful resolution of numerous criminal investigations.

Lyons' commitment to public safety has earned him the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of the community he serves.

Chief Vincent Sabo was pleased to present the award to Lyons.
