The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) hosted its first meeting of the term Sept. 18-19, where commissioners met to hear public presentations and lead public discussion about key Medicaid issues, including:
The Commission provided a review of H.R.1 Medicaid work requirements and moderated a panel of state Medicaid leaders to discuss implementation. Panelists discussed the critical role of IT systems and the role they played in Georgia's implementation of work requirements. States are leaning into lessons learned from the pandemic on beneficiary outreach and staff training.
Members of the America's Essential Hospitals Federal Action Network (FAN) can access a full summary of the discussion. To access this summary and other policy resources, join the FAN today.
MACPAC meets six times a year and submits reports to Congress in March and June. MACPAC's next public meeting is Oct. 30.
