This week, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) Kayla Franklin, Miguel Samayoa, Thomas Marinoff, and Berlynn Vargas participated in badge-pinning ceremonies. This group of EMTs is piloting our new Basic Life Support (BLS) program, improving patient care and providing valued support to our crews.
Although they have completed their training and have already spent several months in the field providing life-saving care to San Rafael residents, the badge-pinning ceremony remains an important tradition.
The badges, presented by Fire Chief Abraham Roman and EMS Chief Jason Hatfield, along with the ceremony, honor and represent the EMTs' hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving the community. The remaining EMTs, DeWitt Miller and Ben Putman, will receive their badges next week.
