Norton Rose Fulbright advises Shell on sale of European renewables portfolio to TotalEnergies

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Shell on the sale of its European onshore renewable energy portfolio to TotalEnergies. The portfolio includes development-stage and operational assets across Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.

Norton Rose Fulbright advised on due diligence aspects of the transaction and associated deal structuring. This included advising on regulatory approvals, grid connection arrangements, land rights and project contracts across Italy, the Netherlands and the UK.

The cross-border team was led by London-based partner Chris Grieves and Amsterdam-based partner Daphne Broerse, supported by teams from Norton Rose Fulbright's Amsterdam, London and Milan offices.
