Comment on Fitness of Superior Court Judges Di Toro, Williams, and Knowles

The D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure (CJDT) invites comments on the qualifications and fitness of D.C. Superior Court Associate Judges Jennifer A. Di Toro and Yvonne M. Williams, who are seeking reappointment upon the expiration of their current terms, both ending on August 2, 2026. CJDT is also seeking comment on Judge Kimberley S. Knowles, who is applying for an initial appointment as senior judge on D.C. Superior Court after her retirement effective January 24, 2026.

Members of the bench, bar, and general public may complete an online survey or submit comments by mail to D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure, 515 Fifth Street NW, Room 246, Washington, DC 20001, or by email to [email protected]. Alternatively, comments may be submitted orally or in writing to Executive Director Moses Cook at [email protected], to Deputy Executive Director Catherine Bruno at [email protected], or to any individual member of the commission. The deadline for comments is February 9.

The identity of any person submitting comments will be kept confidential, unless the commenter authorizes the disclosure of his or her name.
