UNET Announces Arrest of Spearfish Businessman On Felony Drug Charges in a Drug Free Zone

PIERRE, S.D. - South Dakota's Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team-North (UNET-N) announces the arrest of a Spearfish Businessman for two felony drug charges, both occurring in a Drug Free Zone.

Christopher Lee Miller, 41, is charged with one felony count of a Distribution of a Schedule I Substance in a Drug Free Zone and one felony count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute in a Drug Free Zone. The substance has been identified as THCA + HXY 9-THC + Delta 8-THC.

Spearfish Police received a tip about the suspect, who owns HotHead Vapor in Spearfish. Miller was arrested on Tuesday, March 31, following an investigation by state and local authorities. Recovered in the investigation were approximately 97 THCA + HXY 9-THC + Delta 8-THC live Resin vape pins, Delta 8 infused gummies, and more than $1,600 in U.S. currency.

Miller is being held in the Lawrence County Jail. He is presumed innocent under the U.S. Constitution. He was released on a $5,000 bond and his arraignment is scheduled for April 16.
