Pres. Leahy Featured on ‘Lessons in Leadership’ Segment

Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy, Ed.D., was recently a guest speaker on an episode of "Lessons in Leadership," hosted by Steve Adubato on News12+.

During the interview, Leahy spoke with Adubato about what it means to lead an institute of higher education, as well as the partnerships and projects that are propelling Monmouth University forward. Leahy also addressed the University's continuous efforts to make a first-rate private education more accessible, sharing that 55% of Monmouth's most recent incoming class are first-generation and/or Pell Grant-eligible.

Leahy highlighted collaborative efforts including a comprehensive partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health, designed to benefit the community by producing highly qualified health care professionals.

To conclude the episode, Leahy spoke about the upcoming opening of the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Monmouth University this summer. Leahy shared that upon Springsteen's insistence for the Center to host not only his archives but tell the story of American music as a whole, the project "turned into what we believe will be one of the great cultural assets, not only in New Jersey, but in the entire country."
