As Summer Work Season Kicks Into Gear, Duquesne Light Company Reminds Community to Follow Safety Best Practices on Worksites

PITTSBURGH - With the construction and home improvement season ramping up, Duquesne Light Company (DLC) is reminding the public to follow safety best practices on worksites, particularly those near power lines and other electrical infrastructure.

It is critical that homeowners and those on the job make sure they are taking the proper steps to ensure their safety. The first, and most important rule, is to always treat power lines and equipment as if they are energized. Also, always examine the site, make a safety boundary and use a dedicated spotter.
