Earth Day Celebration 2025 Reuse Fair and Secure Document Shred Event (CST)

Join Indiana 105 for the Recycling & Waste Reduction District of Porter County's EarthDay celebration Saturday, April 12th at the Porter County Expo Center! Jackie Swike will broadcast from the event from 9am until 11am, and the event is open to all residents across Lake, Porter & La Porte counties. This year's theme is "Our Power, Our Planet", and features: a reuse fair, rain-barrel design contest, demonstrations, food, live music, environmental speakers, Secure-Shred document shredding, children's activities and more! Admission and parking are always free!

Promote "Reuse" and keep items out of the landfill by donating to organizations in need. The Reuse Fair connects participating non-profit organizations and schools that request supplies with community members who have items they no longer want. Donations will be divided amongst benefitting organizations based on wish lists.

ATTENDEES: Donations will only be collected at the Porter County Expo Center, April 12th 9am-11am. Donations must be clean and in good condition. Volunteers have the right to refuse any item before drop off.
