President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Justice of the United Kingdom, David Lammy.
The Head of State thanked the United Kingdom for its decision to provide an energy support package.
"This is very important. There are many daily missile attacks on our energy sector right now, and any support is significant. Every day we need this - to strengthen our energy infrastructure, and we are very grateful for this," emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President also highlighted the importance of the declaration signed in Paris by Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and France.
"We are very thankful that we have such supporters of all our nation - all your people. The recent meeting with your Prime Minister, David, was key for us. I am very grateful for these steps toward peace. I am also very grateful that, together with the United Kingdom and France, we signed this first step of the Coalition of the Willing. This declaration is the first major step," stated the Head of State.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the continuation of joint efforts and diplomatic work to achieve a dignified peace.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and David Lammy also focused on sanctions policy against Russia. The President stressed that the head of Russia shows no willingness to end the war, and therefore, partners must increase sanctions pressure.
The Head of State provided a detailed briefing on the battlefield situation, noting that Russia is losing 30,000 soldiers on the front each month. These are only the official figures - based on what has been documented on video.
The parties also discussed Russia's recruitment of foreign nationals, particularly from Global South countries, into its criminal war. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and David Lammy exchanged views on countering this and emphasized the importance of greater coordinated efforts from partner states.
