MCSO Deputies apprehend suspect with felony warrants

Macomb Township, MI - Today, December 18, 2024, at approximately 3:00AM, Macomb County Sheriff Office (MCSO) Deputies responded to an in-home dispute between two neighbors in Harrison Township. The homeowner expressed her neighbor was allegedly causing a disturbance.

Deputies had previously interacted with the 58-year-old male from Harrison Township and were aware of outstanding felony warrants.

A MCSO Deputy observed the male in a GMC Yukon traveling on Joy Boulevard in Harrison Township. The Deputy activated lights and attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect ignored the Deputy and proceeded to accelerate.

The suspect lost control of his vehicle, leaving the roadway and going into the ditch. The suspect regained control and reentered the roadway traveling in the opposite direction. Deputies momentarily lost sight of the suspect while turning around. Upon regaining visual contact, Deputies observed the suspect once again lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway, and rolling it over.

The Harrison Township Fire Department responded and transported the suspect to a local hospital for injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

The MCSO investigation is ongoing.
