HSBC US wins two 2026 Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards

HSBC US has been recognized with two 2026 Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards from The Digital Banker, underscoring the bank's commitment to delivering digital experiences that help internationally minded clients manage, protect and invest their money with greater ease.

HSBC was named winner of Best Digital Banking Initiative - Wealth for its Wealth Trilogy initiative and Best Customer Centric Business Model - USA for Digital Security Platform 3.0 (DSP 3.0). The awards followed reviews that assessed entries for product and service innovation, customer experience, financial and market performance, and corporate strategy.

Wealth Trilogy is designed to create new opportunities and pathways for affluent, internationally mobile HSBC US Wealth and Personal Banking clients across 50 countries. By connecting and simplifying critical steps in the investment journey, the initiative can take a client from the beginning of an application to placing a first trade in less than 10 minutes. It also expands international self-service availability and reduces fragmented journeys, traditional processing timelines and manual contacts that can create friction.

DSP 3.0 advances the bank's "Security as a Platform" approach, modernizing the technology that supports secure digital access. The platform is designed to make banking journeys simpler and safer while remaining resilient, scalable for peak demand and materially more efficient to operate. Its future-state architecture replaces a complex legacy security landscape, reduces operational burden and strengthens protection against fraud, especially phishing.

"Digital innovation has the greatest impact when it removes complexity for clients and earns their trust at every interaction," said Chris Audu, Head of Digital Strategy, International Wealth and Premier Banking. "Wealth Trilogy helps clients begin investing through a faster, more connected journey, and DSP 3.0 strengthens the secure foundation behind their everyday banking. This recognition reflects our focus on building technology around the outcomes clients value most."

"HSBC serves clients whose financial lives often span markets, and they need experiences that combine global connectivity with local relevance," said Racquel Oden, US Head of International Wealth Management, Premier, and Global Private Banking. "These awards affirm the progress we are making to deliver intuitive wealth solutions and secure digital access, so our clients can pursue their ambitions with confidence wherever opportunity takes them."

The awards build on HSBC US's recognition earlier this year as winner of Best Digital Customer Experience: Account Opening and Customer Onboarding (USA) at The Digital Banker's 2026 Digital CX Awards. That award recognized the bank's New to Bank Product Bundling initiative, which simplified onboarding for domestic and international wealth clients. Together, the awards reflect HSBC's continued investment in client-centered technology across onboarding, investing and secure digital banking.
