The last two weeks have only underscored that Joe Lombardo is the most vulnerable governor running for reelection in 2026. A poll dropped showing Lombardo tied with his Democratic opponent, Attorney General Aaron Ford, despite Republicans already dropping tens of millions into the race. Lombardo also doubled down on his strong support for Donald Trump's policies, going as far as to call Trump his "commanding officer" - words that are sure to haunt him until November. On top of these failures, newly revealed body camera footage showed Lombardo abusing the power of his office to get special treatment and avoid a ticket. The video went viral - landing him an ethics complaint and even criticism from his own party.

• Lombardo goes viral for abusing his power to get out of a traffic ticket. Last week, newly revealed body camera footage showed the governor interrupting a police officer during a traffic stop. According to a new poll, Nevada's governor race is a dead heat at 44 percent to 44 percent between Democratic nominee Attorney General Aaron Ford and Republican Governor Joe Lombardo. The governor and his allies have spent $27 million against Ford, but the race is only getting tighter. The poll also found that Trump is deeply underwater with Nevada voters, and they are frustrated with Lombardo's refusal to stand up to Trump.

While Nevadans are suffering under Trump's economy, Lombardo continues to align himself closely with Trump. During a recent event, Lombardo referred to Trump as his "commanding officer". Additionally, after a disturbing video surfaced of an ICE officer tackling an elderly man at Harry Reid International Airport, Lombardo touted his close relationship with Trump instead of condemning the incident, clearly showcasing how he will always put Trump ahead of what's best for Nevada.
