Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan had a phone conversation

On April 2, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Senator of Pakistan.

During the conversation, Pakistan's efforts to de-escalate the conflict in the Middle East were highly commended. It was noted that the region must not become an arena for confrontation.

The joint five-point initiative put forward by Islamabad and Beijing aimed at promoting regional peace and stability, as well as their shared position emphasizing the primacy of dialogue and diplomatic engagement, were welcomed.

Views were exchanged on the situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, noting ongoing efforts to reduce tensions and emphasizing the importance of continuing engagement through diplomatic channels.
