The 39th Annual DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals Set to Rattle The Grapevines of Wine Country July 23-25, 2027

Sonoma Raceway will once again welcome the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series to wine country July 23-25, 2027, for the 39th Annual DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals. Fans can look forward to a high-octane weekend featuring championship drag racing, more than 22,000 horsepower and the incredible speed and competition that have made this event a Northern California favorite.

For nearly 40 years, the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals have been a highlight of the NHRA schedule, giving fans the opportunity to see the sport's biggest stars and most powerful machines battle down Sonoma Raceway's iconic quarter-mile dragstrip. The 2027 weekend will once again feature three full days of racing and fan-focused entertainment, with the sights, sounds and intensity of nitro-powered competition taking center stage.

Sonoma Raceway's quarter-mile dragstrip has played host to countless memorable moments throughout the event's history. In 2026, the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals drew sellout crowds across all three days, with Doug Kalitta earning the Top Fuel victory, Jordan Vandergriff taking the Funny Car title, Greg Stanfield winning in Pro Stock and Gaige Herrera capturing the Pro Stock Motorcycle victory.
