Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing Meets Malaysia’s Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister Johari Abdul Ghani

On April 22, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing met with the Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry of Malaysia, Johari Abdul Ghani and exchanged in-depth views on China-Malaysia relations as well as bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Both sides commended China-Malaysia relations and concurred to jointly further substantiate the outcomes delivered by high-level visits of leaders of both countries, strengthen communication and coordination in regional and international affairs, and drive bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a new level.

Ambassador Ouyang said that for over fifty years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, bilateral trade has increased a thousandfold. In the future, both sides should further focus on new quality productive forces such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors to advance bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a higher quality and a higher level.

Johari said that Malaysia and China share a millennium-old friendship and have maintained long-term close cooperation. He hopes that bilateral trade will continue to improve steadily, and welcomes more Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Malaysia.
