Upcoming Tempe Town Lake north bank open houses

Join us for the second round of input as we design the park space along the north bank of Tempe Town Lake, approximately between the Elmore Bridge and the Marina.

Take a look at the next stage of design, which is based on ideas gathered from the first round of community input. Provide additional feedback as the vision begins to take shape.

This design planning effort will explore how recreation, entertainment and athletic spaces can enhance the lake experience while balancing everyday park use with special events and recreation programming. Your input will help guide how these public spaces look, feel and function for years to come.

The planning process will result in concept designs that incorporate innovative park planning trends, public art opportunities and a parking needs assessment. The project will also identify potential construction costs, phasing strategies and funding opportunities.

This design planning project is one of the next steps for the Rio Salado and Beach Park Master Plan, adopted by Tempe City Council in 2018, which outlines a long-term vision for the area over the next 20-30 years. Recent related initiatives include a public-private partnership with Tempe Boat Cruisin' for additional on-water amenities.

Your voice matters. We hope you'll join us in shaping the next chapter of this beloved community destination.
