Chandra S. Reddy, MD., Joins Roxborough Memorial Hospital

Philadelphia, PA (June 1, 2025) - Roxborough Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Chandra S. Reddy, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of extensive experience in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Reddy previously practiced at Suburban Community Hospital as part of Suburban Medical Group before transitioning to Roxborough Memorial Hospital.

While Dr. Reddy will maintain his office in the Medical Office Building under Suburban Medical Group, he will now be affiliated with Roxborough Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Reddy specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and is fellowship-trained in sports medicine, with a particular focus on arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder, knee, and ankle. He is dedicated to delivering comprehensive orthopedic care, addressing both operative and non-operative treatments for a wide range of orthopedic issues, including arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fractures.

Dr. Reddy arrives at Roxborough Memorial Hospital following the recent transition of Suburban Community Hospital from a micro-hospital to a Behavioral Health Campus under the Roxborough umbrella. Prior to his tenure at Suburban, he practiced at St. Luke's Miners Hospital in Coaldale, PA, since 2011, where he served as vice chairman of the Surgery Department and was a key member of the medical executive committee.

Dr. Reddy earned his medical degree from Bellary Medical College in India, followed by a general surgery internship at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. He completed his residency at St. John's Medical College in Bengaluru, India, and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He further advanced his training with a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Nirschl-Georgetown University in Arlington, VA.

Dr. Reddy is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.

His research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Manipulative Therapeutics, the Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine, and the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Additionally, he has presented at prestigious conferences, such as the Radiology Society of North America Annual Meeting and the Arthroscopic Association of North America, discussing topics such as arthroscopic treatment for glenohumeral arthritis.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Reddy enjoys traveling with his wife, visiting their two adult children on the West Coast, cooking, watching films, and reading both fiction and non-fiction. He is also a passionate supporter of Philadelphia sports teams, particularly the Eagles and the Phillies.
