Throughout this Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa's 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa - U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Centerville Produce of Appanoose County. Throughout the 119th Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa's 99 counties.

"Centerville Produce has been seeding success and feeding Appanoose County for generations," said Chair Ernst. "From selling livestock feed to pet supplies, this hometown staple proves a family business can stay cool under pressure and make a lasting impact."

Founded in 1951 as a small family operation, Centerville Produce has grown into a leading agriculture retail and pet supply store. After veteran Ryan Stober purchased the business from his grandfather in 1995, he expanded its products and reach before transitioning ownership this year to longtime employee Mike Spurgeon. Today, the business has become a go-to destination for farmers, pet owners, and outdoor enthusiasts. Under Mike's leadership, the business continues to embody the resilience and community spirit that define Iowa's small businesses.

Stay tuned as Chair Ernst continues to recognize outstanding Iowa small businesses with her Small Business of the Week award.
