Bettendorf Fire Responds to the Area of 220th Street and 230th Avenue
March 22, 2026 - On Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Bettendorf Fire Department (BFD) was dispatched to the area of 220th Street and 230th Avenue for the report of a corn field on fire.
While en route, BFD requested assistance from the LeClaire Fire Department (LCFD) and Princeton Fire Department (PFD). Both LCFD and PFD responded with brush trucks to make gaining access to the fire easier.
Crews were able to control and extinguish the nearly 5-acre fire in about 90 minutes. There were no injuries reported to firefighters or civilians.
The Riverdale Fire Department and Davenport Fire Department responded to two different EMS calls while BFD was working at the fire.
