Grand Parkway Town Hall Meeting Oct 23
The Texas Department of Transportation is hosting an important town hall meeting on October 23 regarding one of the region's most impactful transportation projects- the expansion of the Grand Parkway.

Date: Thursday, October 23, 2025
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Location: Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center| 400 West Walker
A segment of the Grand Parkway expansion project-known as section B-is a 28-mile, four-lane, controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from I-45 South in League City toward SH 35 in Alvin and on to SH 288 near Rosharon through Galveston and Brazoria counties. A portion of Segment B, known as B-1 from I-45 in League City to south of FM 2403, is slated to begin construction in late 2026/early 2027. This construction will impact several League City roadways, including Hobbs Road, Calder Road, and FM 646.
The October 23 town hall meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center located at 400 West Walker Street. Attendees will be able to ask questions and provide comments following a short presentation by TxDOT that will cover the following topics.
- Project overview and timeline
- Expected impacts during construction
- Residential and commercial development impacts
- How to prepare as work begins
The town hall will also be broadcast live on League City's Facebook page, and a video recording will be available to watch on the City's website.
