City of Columbia Youth Advisory Council resumes work in community

(COLUMBIA, MO)- The City of Columbia Youth Advisory Council (YAC) has resumed work to advise City Council on matters pertaining to youth and youth-related issues.

YAC's mission is to empower the youth of Columbia's community to get involved and develop the skills necessary to lead a better future.

The group's focus areas include sustainability, wellness and youth safety and security.

"The Youth Advisory Council plays an important role in fostering connections between our youth and the community, and I look forward to strengthening those connections as chair this year," said YAC Chair Grace Harris.

Anyone interested in submitting ideas related to the group's focus topics can reach out to Lacy Salazar at [email protected].
