A meeting of the newly formed Public Council of the Ministry of External Relations and Peoples' Affairs of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was held

A meeting of the newly formed Public Council of the Ministry of External Relations and Peoples' Affairs of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was held 30 march.

The members reviewed the Ministry's results from the past year and discussed the work plan for the current year. During the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and the Year of Culture in Yakutia, we will continue to pursue our goals and objectives in the areas of developing foreign economic ties, international cooperation and interregional interaction, state ethnic policy, and interethnic and interfaith relations.

The new composition of the council unanimously elected Afanasy Vasilyevich Migalkin as chairman. I congratulate Afanasy Vasilyevich on his election to the position of chairman of the Public Council of our Ministry and wish him fruitful and successful work! I am confident that Afanasy Vasilyevich's extensive experience as a statesman and public figure will enable the council to interact actively and effectively with public associations and civil society institutions, make sound decisions, and achieve new results.
