Henderson to Open Judicial Candidate Filing for 2026 Municipal Elections on Jan. 5
Candidates must schedule an in-person appointment in order to file.
HENDERSON, Nev.(Dec. 18, 2025) - The City of Henderson will open its judicial candidate filing period Monday, Jan. 5 - Jan. 16 (excluding weekends), for the upcoming 2026 Henderson municipal elections. Candidate is not an official candidate until they file with the City Clerk's Office.
This filing period is for the position of Municipal Court Judge, Dept. 1. The filing period for non-judicial positions will open March 2.
To accommodate candidate filing, the Office of the City Clerk will extend its operating hours to include Fridays (no other services will be available). Candidates seeking to file must schedule an in-person appointment at the Office of the City Clerk inside Henderson City Hall Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Filing information will be provided when candidates make their appointment.
Henderson's primary election is Tuesday, June 9, with the general election Tuesday, Nov. 3.
